If Indians want to contain the COVID-19 virus, We have to do the way Bhilwara district has done it. Bhilwara, which has the second-highest number of cases in Rajasthan at 27, has reported only one positive case since March 30. It started with Doctore of BBMH hospital who tested positive with the virus and later investigation revealed various other cases in that hospital. The textile town shot to limelight because of the spike in the number of cases in a short span of time since the first case was reported on March 19. The population of the city is 4.5 Lakh and total population of the district is 30 lakh.

 


Bhilwara model is the containment strategy which found successful against the COVID-19 virus. the various step was taken by the government ranging from police to health measures. Various health official from the centre and district has developed the containment model which is now termed as Bhilwara model. This model so successful that center is now implementing it into various hotspots to fight against COVID-19
On 19 March 2020 first case was reported, within few days 13 new cases were found in the same hospital which include staff and nurses. Total cases in the district were 27, from which most of them are recovered and only 2 death was reported. Since then there are no new cases were found.


 The various which is taken by administration are 

  1. Complete lockdown in the district since 20th March 2020
  2. Sealing of district border since 19th March 2020
  3. Aggressive screening of people with help of 850 Team across Bhilwara 
  4. Screeing of the entire 30lakh people in 10 days.
  5. Home delivery of essential items at home by police and various other teams.
  6. The training team of 3000 people to perform all these tasks.
  7. Rigorous contact tracing of COVID-19 positive patents.
  8. Zero mobility zone near the house of infected patients.
  9. Using the various apps to monitor people those are in-home quarantine.
  10. Preparing of bed as per the contingency plan.
  11. The continuous screen of people.

Right now if think about these steps, these steps would look very common as it's been followed by various district. But all these steps were taken there between 18-20 march
which is quite exceptional. The hyper proactive steps which were taken by the administration  have saved Bhilwara to become Italy.
